Planets

Yesterday we were learning about the solar system. One of the things we were learning about was how the planets go’s anti-clockwise around the sun. Mrs Lagitupu got out some balloons for the planets . One of the things she told us was how Earth was the only planet with living things in the solar system. One of the thins that she told us was that Pluto was a dwarf planet. And that Pluto was the farthest from the sun and Venus was the closest to the sun and that Venus rotates around the sun the fastest in the solar system. After that when we finished we put the tables back to where they were.

Tennis

In the morning we went to the court to play tennis. When we got there we saw a man and his name was Marcel. Then we had to get a partner. My partner was Junior. I had to hit the ball with the racket and Junior had to throw the ball. I felt good because it was fun. One of the new things that he showed us was how to bounce a ball on your racket and flip it in the same time. It was a little bit hard to. The other thing he told us was that we had to bounce the ball on the ground seventy times but it was fun too. When we finished we went back to class.

AFL

Yesterday was the last week of A.F.L when we got there we got to play a game on the field. The game that we played was kiwi kick. It was fun at the game and the side that I was on won. I was tired when we got back from A.F.L. The man’s name was Mike and he told us how to play.

England in the RWC

Life Caravan

Last week on Thursday Room 21 went to the life caravan to learn about putting the right things into your body. Lynne told us about drugs too. Some of the drugs that we were learning about was cocaine, weed and alcohol.

She told us about how our body works and that drugs can affect your body. You could get amputated. In the life caravan Room 21 was watching videos of people talking and they showed a body that was left on the ground lying down dead. Some of the videos was about a man and how his friends took drugs and some of his friends died.

Cross country

Last week on Wednesday we had cross country. The Intermediate kids had a race. We had to meet at the courts. We had to sit down in lines. Ms Vaafusuaga got the year 7 girls to go on the field to start the race. Then the year 7 boys did the race. I felt excited.

We ran to the Pt England reserve. Then we ran onto this path that went past the farm. I ran past some people but I can't remember who. I could see Dominic, Samson and Unaloto. I saw Mr Jacobsen, Mrs Clarke and Ms Tito.

When I finished the race I could see people standing there talking and walking. I felt tired. I was happy to finish the race. It was really long.
